A few houses have basements, and I think the building code permits them if they have automatic pumps ("sump pumps") to remove water if flooding begins.waldschrathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397062516974543459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9923676.post-1117737993380718562005-06-02T22:46:00.000+04:002005-06-02T22:46:00.000+04:00I've been trying to explore Iraq using the interne...I've been trying to explore Iraq using the internet and found this site which has pictures of many archeological sites:

Link to archeological photoswaldschrathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397062516974543459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9923676.post-1117736069419577372005-06-02T22:14:00.000+04:002005-06-02T22:14:00.000+04:00waldschrat50 years ago, all the houses in Mosul ha...waldschrat

50 years ago, all the houses in Mosul had a basement. We seem to be paying more attention to Hurria in the other post. I don't have any nice pictures to show you, so I will think of something innocuous to ask you.

Hmmm, do you like old (American) movies? If you do and you haven't seen "Casablanca" or "The Sting", I would recommend them. If you like newer movies, I just saw "The Aviator". I would recommend it as well.

Lynnette in MinnesotaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9923676.post-1117562679394973382005-05-31T22:04:00.000+04:002005-05-31T22:04:00.000+04:00Another account of tourists visiting Mosul, this o...Another account of tourists visiting Mosul, this one much much older...

Linkwaldschrathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397062516974543459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9923676.post-1117537100901614572005-05-31T14:58:00.000+04:002005-05-31T14:58:00.000+04:00Another crazy guy who wandered through Mosul in 20...Another crazy guy who wandered through Mosul in 2003:

Linkwaldschrathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397062516974543459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9923676.post-1117533696073834622005-05-31T14:01:00.000+04:002005-05-31T14:01:00.000+04:00I've been searching for tourist information on Mos...I've been searching for tourist information on Mosul with little luck.
